Waratah Eco Works is a natural resource consultancy specialising in Bush Regeneration, Coastal Resource Management and Landscape Design. We are based in Sydney.
Established in 1998, Waratah Eco Works is headed by Michael Dixon (M.Coastal Resource Management; B App Sci Horticulture).

Warringah Council:
Greendale Creek Rehabilitation: A 3 year project to maintain and improve the native terrestrial and aquatic vegetation and improve native fauna habitat. The project required weed control works (aquatic and terrestrial) and plant installation.
Berry Reserve Rehabilitation: A 3 year project to protect foreshore remnants, eradicate noxious weeds from the site, improve bank stability/ extend areas of stabilized bank , extend and re-establish foreshore areas with indigenous vegetation.

North Sydney Council:
Badangi Reserve Bush Rehabilitation: A 3 year project to maintain and improve bushland within the reserve. Objectives of the project include: the protection of local endemic species, maintenance of previously worked areas of the site (bush regeneration), control of noxious and environmental weeds, track maintenance and plant installation.
Cremorne Point Bushland Rehabilitation: A 3 year project to maintain and improve bushland within the reserve. Obejctives of the project included: the regeneration of Robertson's Point, maintenance weeding of planted areas, track maintenance, weed control (noxious and environmental) across the reserve and installation of plants.

Willoughby Council:
Gargoyle Planted Area
We conduct bush regeneration works across a range of reserves within Willoughby, controlling bushland weeds, installing plants and carrying out track maintenance.
Sugarloaf, Snake Pit, Willoughby
Some of the sites that we are currently working on include: HD Robb Reserve, Northern Escarpment, Scotts Creek, North Arm Track, Willis Park, Mowbray Athletics Field, Talus St (Naremburn), West Dorset St (Northbridge), Parker St (Northbridge), Castlehaven Reserve (Castlecrag), Greville St (West Chatswood) and Northbridge Baths.

We also supervise some Park Care Groups made up of volunteers from the public including Talus St (Naremburn) and Coolaroo Park .

Upper Cliff, Northbridge
Hunters Hill Council:
Park Road Reserve Bush Rehabilitation Project: A 3 year project to conduct primary, secondary and maintenance weed control works from the stormwater outlet to the salt marsh.
The project aims to increase the resilience of the site and enhance habitat opportunities for the Red Crowned Toadlet and other fauna species.
Pittwater Council:
Working in various sites in the Pittwater area conducting weed control works and bush regeneration.
Some of our sites include: Woodlands Reserve (Mona Vale), Refuge Cove (Claireville), Coopers Point, Lovett Bay, Dunbar Reserve (Avalon) and Toongari Reserve (Avalon).

We also supervise some voluntary Bush Care Groups within the area including: Lovett Bay, Mona Vale Dunes, Toongari, Scotland Island, Bilgola Beach, Bungan Headland, Pindari Reserve and Coopers Point.

Sydney Water and AJ Lucas Drilling
Willis Park Rehabilitation Project. Waratah Eco Works conducted bush regeneration, weed management and plant installation works over a 2 year period to rehabilitate the Willis Park site after extensive disturbance to the area from construction works.
Our Staff
Our Supervisors are: Sharyn Brand, Michael Owen, Mike Kneipp and Felicity Kohut. These guys oversee all of the work that is done in the field on a daily basis.
All of our supervisors have attained qualifications in Conservation and Land Management and have extensive field experience which contributes to the successful management of all of our projects.
We employ a large team of talented and qualified horticultural workers.
