Landscape design is concerned with creating beautiful and functional spaces within the environment.
Good design aims to create habitat for both people and other living things in harmony. To create good design you need a concept, a design and then the development of that design through planning and implementation. A good design will complement the buildings that it are adjacent to and can become a sensory journey with contrasting perfumes, textures and colours interwoven together.
Waratah Eco Works has designed and installed landscape projects for government, non-government and private clients on a domestic and commercial scale.
We specialise in native Australian landscapes as we believe there is a wealth of choice in the textures, colours and forms that can be sourced from these species, not to mention their compatibility with the environment.
In combination with good bush regeneration practices, a native landscape can be one that will be self managing and provide habitat for local fauna.
To complement a design, the installation of sculptures can enrich a landscape, particluarly those made of sandstone if using native plants.
